Patrick (he/him) joined the Arts Council as CEO in June 2023 following a five-year tenure as the Executive Director of Erie Arts & Culture. A graduate of Northwood University and Penn State University, Patrick was named to Erie Reader’s “40 under 40” in 2020 and the Erie Times-News’ “Person of the Year” in 2019. Before his role at Erie Arts & Culture, Fisher served two years in Florida as the community and collaboration manager of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville where he was also named to the Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2018.
Patrick is a culture worker and a staunch advocate for inclusivity, accessibility, and equity. He’s dedicated himself to working with artists and organizations to demystify the arts by bringing communities in on the act of creating, directly demonstrating the value of the arts. He also works with community members to determine how creative and cultural engagement can be honored to establish emotional bonds between people and the places and spaces they occupy while also reinforcing social connections.
When he’s not at work, you can find Patrick walking his two three-legged dogs, demonstrating no impulse control around vegan food (especially baked goods), browsing secondhand stores for Mid-Century Modern furniture, or actively searching for Pittsburgh’s perfect cup of coffee. Patrick also enjoys actively documenting life at the community level so he often has his camera in hand.
