The Creative Sector Flex Fund provides $5,000 grants to arts organizations.
The Creative Sector Flex Fund, a grant program from the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, provides $5,000 to arts organizations in Allegheny, Beaver, Greene, and Washington counties with average annual revenues between $10,000 - $200,000.
This new program offers grantees the flexibility to use $5,000 grants in ways that ensure the most significant impact for their organizations and communities.
"Grant programs like the Creative Sector Flex Fund provide crucial support for small arts and culture organizations,” says Mia Hooper, COO at the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. “The flexibility within its use allows organizations to utilize the funding however they most need it."
Eligible uses include the support of applicants’ administrative, programmatic, project-related expenses, and more.
The 2023-2024 Creative Sector Flex Fund awarded $150,000 in grants to 30 regional arts organizations.

For Current PPA Entry to Program and Program Stream Grantees
The Creative Sector Flex Fund was previously known as PCA's Entry to Program Stream and Program Stream, which have now been retired. The decision to retire these programs resulted from the PCA’s consideration of conversations, feedback, observations, insights, research, and data review with state and industry leaders, panelists, grantees, and community members. The goal of this retirement is to enable the PCA to provide a funding avenue that better aligns with industry trends and the goals of its strategic plan.
Please know that your organization’s 2022-2023 Entry to Program Stream or Program Stream grant was not impacted by this change, and we thank you for the value and impact that your art organization provides to the communities that you serve.
The Arts Council is administering this grant on behalf of the PCA for Allegheny, Beaver, Greene, and Washington counties.
