Pittsburgh, PA — The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is proud to announce 30 Southwestern Pennsylvania arts organizations have been awarded a total of $150,000 as part of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ Creative Sector Flex Fund program.

The grant program provides $5,000 grants to arts organizations in Allegheny, Beaver, Greene, and Washington counties with average annual revenues between $10,000 - $200,000.

Grantees include a studio for adult artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities, an organization celebrating traditional West African dance, a film archive and cinema preserving and exhibiting Pittsburgh’s film history, a choir affirming LGBTQIA+ voices, a space providing enrichment opportunities for emerging comedians, and more.

“The Creative Sector Flex Fund provides crucial support for small arts and culture organizations,” says Mona Wiley, program specialist at the Arts Council. “The flexibility also allows the grantees to use the awarded funding in ways that ensure the most significant impact for their organizations and communities.”
