Artist Statement:
I make paintings that recontextualize the everyday as jagged, half built, and fantastic.
I use wood chips, caulking, and plumber's glue to fuse comic book action with impressionist sensibility, building worlds that invite the viewer in.
I often paint about communities, especially my own community, North Braddock. I am fascinated by the beauty of urban decay.
