Announcing: Arts Day of Giving!

GPAC is pleased to announce that October 2, 2014 will be a dedicated Arts Day of Giving! The last Arts Day of Giving was May 11, 2011, so we are especially thankful for the opportunity to support our members by reinstating this valuable opportunity.  In 2011, the Arts Day of Giving raised nearly $1.9 mil, with over half of the gifts from new and lapsed donors. The Pittsburgh Foundation has been a generous and consistent partner in supporting the arts and culture community, and we applaud their outstanding efforts at developing innovative ways to help ensure viability of the non-profit sector.

Consistent with the new Pittsburgh Gives guidelines, the matching cap introduced last year will remain in place, limiting eligibility for matching funds to the first $1,000 contributed by a donor to an individual organization. And, the Arts Day of Giving will take place on October 2, 2014 from 6:00am - 12:00 midnight, instead of the previous 24-hour period. GPAC will support Arts Day of Giving with marketing and pr plans that include graphic assets and messaging for non-profits to use for promoting the Arts Day of Giving to donors and supporters.Participating organizations will receive communications assets along with instructions from GPAC’s Director of Communications, Jen Saffron.
