Printing Resources Directory by Pittsburgh Artists, for Pittsburgh Artists

Have you been searching for a good quality printer in the area to support your art practice? We've collected a list of printing services in the Pittsburgh area to help connect you with printers that artists already love. We've linked some of these to their pages on PittsburghArtistResources.org, where businesses can share their services for artists. None of these mentions are sponsored, and most were recommended in conversations with artists on our social media.

  • Alpha Graphics – You said this about our downstairs neighbor on Facebook: "Excellent service ... and great staff to work with." We can attest to this – if you came to the 10 Year Anniversary of Art on the Walls, your gallery booklet was made by them.
  • Artist Image Resource – This Pittsburgh studio is open to the public and provides technical services and printing support by appointment for area artists, educators, activists, and makers.
  • Challenge Printing Services – Local artists cite how this Wilkinsburg screen printer 1) does it all, 2) has been around for years, and 3) has great prices.
  • Digital Trafford – An artist recommended Digital Trafford for those looking for Giclee printing on archival materials. They added, "Scanning options include film negatives and positives as well as 8mm, Super8mm, and 16mm film transfers."
  • Minute Man Press – We heard this spot has the "most affordable printing for booklets," according to our artists.
  • OMNI Associates – This firm is a smaller Black-owned printing company with "excellent service and great prices! Always on time." It goes without saying, but we're going to say it: Support Black businesses!
  • PGH Print Ship – PGH Print Ship received rave reviews from a handful of artists on social media, and they do just about everything. Remember those "love thy neighbor signs?" That was them. (Josh Snider was recommended to work with, specifically, so shout-out to you, Josh.)
  • Press Craft Printers – This Avalon printer was recommended by an artist for having fast, affordable, and helpful service. That's three for three.
  • Printscape Imaging & Graphics – The Office of Public Art has worked with this organization for large-scale installations near the airport, so if you need to go big, you can call this place home.
  • Tristate Signs & Reprographics – Looking for something huge? Tristate has color laser on a wide roll, which local artists say are great for large indoor prints (wide-format inkjet or color laser prints, specifically).
