Allegheny Arts Revival Grant


In 2022, the Allegheny Arts Revival Grant program supported the recovery of Allegheny County’s arts and culture community by providing $10,000 general operating grants to 35 organizations and $5,000 to 20 individual artists for the creation of new work.

Funding Period: September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023

Grant Recipients

Four grant panelists evaluated the 89 applications submitted by arts and culture organizations, and 12 more evaluated the 204 applications from individual artists. Forty-five percent of all awardees identified as individuals or organizations led by Black, Indigenous, or Persons of Color, exceeding our commitment to a minimum of 40% representation. We also committed to prioritizing funds to nonprofit arts and culture organizations with budgets of less than $250,000.

Funds for this grant program were provided by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which was intended to stimulate the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
