The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is thrilled to announce the launch of its newest and largest grant program – the Allegheny Arts Revival Grant – aimed to support both arts and culture organizations and individual artists as they start to re-emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This one-time grant program provides $10,000 in general operating grants to organizations and $5,000 to individual artists for the creation of new work. Applications open on Monday, May 2, 2022, and are due by Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

The Allegheny Arts Revival Grant program is made possible by funding from the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021. The ARP grant program aims to support communities by providing grants to eligible recipients to save jobs and to fund operations and facilities, health and safety supplies, and marketing and promotional efforts to encourage attendance and participation.

Guided by values of equity, integrity, and creativity, Shaqui Scott (he/him) educates, administrates, and distributes funds for three grant programs, one scholarship program, and a reimbursement fund. Additionally, he is responsible for all membership activities at the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. In his time at the Arts Council, Shaqui has become the regional representative to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s grant programs for the arts and recently implemented a new grant program across 10 counties in southwestern Pennsylvania.
