While numerous arts organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh region are attempting to support Teaching Artists with a host of resources, they're sometimes limited to specific arts disciplines, marketed to a limited number of artists, or difficult to access.

The goal of the Collaborative Teaching Artist Initiative is to recognize organizations that offer supportive resources for teaching artists; work together to identify gaps, overlaps, strengths, and needs; and to help ensure these resources are available to a wide range of artists.

This free event will help artists better understand what local resources are currently available, while also giving them the chance to directly connect with arts organizations to ask questions and build more lasting relationships.

The event will start with various arts organizations sharing info about the Collaborative Teaching Artist Initiative. Artists will then hear what current resources those organizations currently offer, including paid opportunities, residencies, workshops, venue space, and more. At the end of the event, artists will be able to ask questions and have a deeper dialogue with the arts organizations of their choice.

Some of the participating organizations include:

Light breakfast fare will be provided. An ASL interpreter will also be available throughout the duration of the event, along with flexible seating so guests can engage with the space in a way most comfortable for you.

Let's connect, engage, and share the resources!
