Gabriela Ortiz is a Mexican artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her artwork shows the influence of the bright colors and textures of her Latin American roots. Her paint application is full of movement, fast and bold strokes, typical of the way of life in fast-paced Mexico City. The subjects of her paintings are a mixture of nostalgia for her home country, the novelty of new places, and her present experiences.
