Our Way of Saying
Thank You
So
many dedicated individuals and businesses work hard to create and support the
arts in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Work of Art Awards is one way for us to
recognize their contributions to the community. Pittsburgh has a thriving
arts community that would not exist without the support of our area businesses,
says the Arts Council CEO Mitch Swain. The Work of Art Awards celebrate that critical
synergy between business and the arts. We are proud to honor the people behind
the arts in Pittsburgh. We
hope youll come enjoy this gala event at the New Hazlett Theater, followed
by a reception party next door at the Childrens Museum of Pittsburgh.
Award winners will receive a unique piece of artwork created by a local artist
specifically for the ceremony. Nine awards will be presented in six categories:
3 Awards for Creative Collaboration, the Arts Educator Award, the Volunteer of
the Year, the Chairmans Award, the Mayors Award for Public Art and
the Peoples Choice Award. Our
