The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council's Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) program is affiliated with the Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Association, which oversees a network of local providers of pro bono legal assistance. VLA provides pro bono assistance to low-income individual artists and small arts organizations for arts-related legal needs.

Business Volunteers for the Arts® (BVA) brings the knowledge of the business world to the needs of the nonprofit arts community. If you are a business professional, the Arts Council invites you to share your expertise by becoming a volunteer consultant. If you are an arts professional, consider applying for assistance in financial and strategic planning, marketing, information technology, human resources and more.
The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is affiliated with the Arts & Business Council of Americans for the Arts. The first BVA program was launched in 1975 & is now operated in many cities nationally. Business Volunteers for the Arts® recruits and trains business executives who provide free consulting to nonprofit arts organizations in areas including marketing, finance, non-profit technology, planning.
