Whether you are applying for a grant, a residency, a fellowship, sending a press release, or just updating your website, you need to be able write an effective artist statement. But how are you supposed to talk about your art while you're making it? This clinic will help you effectively describe your art, your process, and yourself. Learn the difference between a bio and a resume, read your artist statements aloud, share your writing with other artists, and hear from others who have been successful in describing their work.

  • What's the difference between a BIO and a RESUME?
  • Are you at a crossroad of a myriad of chronological angles?
  • How are you supposed to talk about the art you're making WHILE you're making it?
