The Arts Pittsburgh Events Listing only accepts event submissions from current Arts Council members. If you are a current member of the Arts Council member you can submit an event here. The BMNECC hosts four dances each month that are open to the public. 1st Saturday of each month, Cajun dance with local bands Gran Bon Rien or Venez Au Bal; 2nd Saturday of each month, Salsa dance with Jeff and Colleen Shirey; 3rd Saturday of each month, the BMNECC Band plays the dance tunes for a Vecherinka, an Eastern European Folk Dance. 4th Saturday of each month, Zydeco with Zydeco Dogz or Country Swing dance with the Mavens; All dances are held at the Bulgarian Cultural Center and feature dance lessons for one hour prior to the dancing. Salsa dances begin at 8pm, all other dances begin at 7:30pm. Admission $7.

The BMNECC Soup Sega! Project is in its 9th consecutive season. The project consists of a variety of 14 gourmet, home-made soups native to various regions of Bulgaria - ten vegetarian and 4 non-vegetarian. On the third Saturday of each month a tasty soup from another culture is highlighted. Along with th soups, certain foods such as Gyuvech (Bulgarian stew), Pulneni Chushki (stuffed peppers), Banitza (cheese filled dessert), Lamb Spinach & rice, and Apple Strudel are available. Soup is available every Saturday morning from 9 am to noon, and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 10 am to noon at the BMNECC. The special soup created by Chef Angel Roy from another part of the world is also $6.
Vegetarian soups $5 and non-vegetarian soups $6.
