Pittsburgh is ARTSBURGH!

Launching, today: Artsburgh: the new online hub of information on arts and culture

Pittsburgh, PA - Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council announces the launch of Artsburgh, a major new events website designed to promote arts and culture to Greater Pittsburgh and beyond. This customized site, built specifically for the Pittsburgh region with Civic Resource Group International goes live, today, and aims to become the region’s most comprehensive events resource possible. Artsburgh has the capability of feeding information to other online sources, spreading information widely with the goal to attract cultural tourists and engage more residents in our region’s rich cultural offerings. Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council will support Artsburgh through a targeted marketing campaign in the coming months. Arts and culture presenters and artists of all kinds can start using Artsburgh, immediately to promote their work by creating a free user account, right here.  It is free to list events and this is not limited to Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council members.

Mitch Swain, CEO of Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council enthuses, “Yes! We’re so pleased to announce that today, FINALLY, we’re launching Artsburgh. For years, people have been telling us that there is no “one place” to find out about arts and culture events, so we’re striving to create that online space. We’ve worked to make it clean and user-friendly with a variety of customizable filters for accessibility, genre and price so that it’s easy for potential patrons and visitors to find the kind of art experiences that they want. And for all of you in the arts sector, the system is flexible and able to accept all kinds of events and re-occurrence patterns. It’s free to list events and this is not limited to GPAC members.”
