Ashley Paulisick

AFTA Convention Coordinator

AshleyGPAC2webAshley joined the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council as a Local Coordinator for the 2013 Americans for the Arts Annual Convention. With over 1,100 convention attendees from across the country soon gathering in Pittsburgh, her role is organizing logistics and centering a spotlight on Pittsburgh's outstanding cultural amenities and artists.

Prior to moving in Pittsburgh in 2011, Ashley completed a graduate degree in Art Business at the Sotheby's Institute of Art, London. While living in the UK she also worked at The Courtauld Gallery. Having Europe's fine art institutions in her backyard inspired Ashley to further develop her own profession as a painter.

Ashley's career as an artist began in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky where she first began painting commissioned work after graduating from the University of Dayton, Ohio with a BFA in Illustration. When outside of the studio, she worked as an arts administrator, primarily managing community outreach projects.

Now residing in Pittsburgh with her husband, Ashley paints in an old schoolhouse in West Homestead. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh and volunteers for Pittsburgh Social Venture Partners.
