Internships
GPAC offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students on a year-round basis. As a membership-based, arts service organization, we offer opportunities to work on a variety of issues facing Pittsburgh's arts sector. Interns gain professional, on-the-job experience working with and assisting staff in a number of areas. Internships may be available in Business & Legal Consulting, Communications, Cultural Policy & Research, Grantmaking, Membership & Development, or Public Art. Internships are generally unpaid, though a Federal Work Study match may be available in some cases.
Communications & Consulting:
We are seeking an intern to work with our Communications, Business Volunteers for the Arts, and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts programs. We are looking for an enthusiastic and focused individual who wants real-world experience in arts marketing, business consulting, or nonprofit management.

Cultural Policy & Research:
We are currently seeking a graduate student to serve as an intern for the summer of 2012 with potential for fall 2012 semester as well. The intern will work directly with the Manager of Cultural Policy and Research on a variety of projects and initiatives aimed at creating a solid foundation for future advocacy and research efforts.

Grants & Professional Development:
We are currently seeking an intern to assist with our grant-making and professional development programs. Our grant-making programs will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the role of an arts grant-maker—from beginning to end. Our professional development programs will give you practical experience in event planning logistics, and exposure to a variety of nonprofit and arts management concerns.
