Art on the Walls

The Arts Council's new office has walls that need to shout arts loud and clear, and there's no better way to do that than to feature work created by local and regional artists!

Opportunity Overview

The Arts Council will offer visual artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in public areas of our new office space. The "Art on the Walls" program is a bi-annual, solo exhibition opportunity for individual artists in the greater Pittsburgh region. If you are interested in participating, please complete a profile on the Pittsburgh Artist Registry and fill out the application form below.

  Eligibility
This program is open to artists who work in two dimensional formats including printmaking, photography, fiber, painting and drawing. While we are unable to facilitate the displaying of sculpture, lightweight sculptures will be considered as long as they can be displayed on the wall. Artwork must be appropriate for the general public.

  Installation Process
The Arts Council will give the artist drop off and pick up dates and times. The artist is responsible for dropping off and picking up their work in a timely manner. All work must be ready to hang. The work will be hung professionally and insured by the Arts Council during the exhibition dates only, not during shipping or transportation. The Arts Council can not provide storage for your work, nor will the Arts Council be responsible for work left behind. If exhibiting artist would like to present new work, different than the work submitted in this application, they must first notify the Arts Council at least 4 weeks prior to installation date and present the new work for review. The review does not guarantee acceptance of the new work.
